The Guuta Award Foundation was officially established under the laws of the Iowa State on January 23, 2026.
The Foundation’s primary mission is to uplift and recognize individuals, families, and organizations that have made meaningful contributions to the well-being of disadvantaged community members in the United States and Ethiopia. Through its awards, the Foundation seeks to promote kindness, community support, and mutual development.
The award selection process is led by the Board of Directors, with active participation from community members, donors, and various supporting groups. Clear eligibility criteria and defined selection requirements ensure transparency, fairness, and integrity throughout the process.
The Guuta Award Foundation promotes ethical leadership, innovation, culture, and community service within the Sidama society and diaspora.
We Also revive the traditional Guuta value system and apply it in a modern, transparent recognition platform.
Inspire role models.
Strengthen identity.
Build a proud future.
